In his South Bank studio, Feliks Topolski painted his snaking 600-foot memoir into manifest vitality, adapting every panel to the unique space in which it would be exhibited.
Through figuration and abstraction, he produced an extraordinary array of portraits including: Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Picasso. These derive from Topolski’s own personal experience initially captured in pencil and ink which he produced throughout his life and published in Topolski’s Chronicle.
Now, Topolski Century Art Gallery offers new, developing, and experienced artists a number of art classes within Topolski’s uniquely inspired gallery.
Beginning Monday 4th October 2010, the art short courses will run for 10 weeks in the Winter, Spring and Summer terms of 2010/2011. Classes will be held weekday evenings and Saturday mornings and include: Try Drawing, Portraiture, Introduction to Watercolour, Portfolio Preparation, and Drawing Out. All courses are £200.
